GROUPS

The message is that an addict, any addict, can stop using drugs, lose the desire to use, and find a new way to live. The message is hope and the promise of freedom.©

The Narcotics Anonymous groups are the work horse of NA. Our Fifth Tradition states: “Each group has but one primary purpose—to carry the message to the addict who still suffers”. Our group meetings are the place where recovering addicts gather to share their experience, strength, and hope and carry this message. At these meetings we help each other stay clean through the 12 Steps of Narcotics Anonymous. In other words this is where we carry the message of recovery and help each other stay clean. If you are new to Narcotics Anonymous we suggest that you attend a meeting a day for 90 days, get a Narcotics Anonymous Sponsor, and get a Basic Text. When you get your Basic Text read Chapter 5, “What Can I Do”. To find an a Narcotics Anonymous meetings.

 Please Note:

There are many recovering addicts who travel each year. During their travels they will search for meetings to attend on the world NA website or local NA websites. Therefore it is really important that we keep our NA group’s meeting information updated so that no one seeking recovery goes to a meeting that is no longer meeting. To update your groups information only take a few minutes.

Each group in Narcotics Anonymous should be registered with Narcotics Anonymous World Services and update their meeting information and contacts when it changes. Below are the links to register and update your groups information. Their is also a link for Area registration.

You can check  if all of your groups information is up to date and listed on the NAWS Website, if it isn’t please either update or fill out a new group registration. This process will take about 2 weeks to be updated on the NAWS Website.
